My Cowboys won at least one playoff game this year, something that has eluded them since 1996. I was very excited, as the talk was all over the radio that ether team, the Cowboys, or the Vikings would have a great game but that the score would be close.
That made me consider that the Vikings had a chance against America’s Team as the Cowboys were coming off some very good wins and were at the time the hottest team in the NFL. So Sunday I got my Cowboys sweatshirt on, grabbed some snacks, and settled in to the big chair for the game. Read more…

Just like every summer before, Lindsay Simpson spent the year’s hottest months in the gym improving her basketball game. She spent a lot of time working on her footwork, running through cone drills and jumping rope. Read more…
U of Michigan Football, Hockey and Bball in One Weekend
A couple of local Franklin folks, David Cruse and Clinton Taylor, got a chance to travel up to Michigan to catch some college games. They have a friend up there who was able to get them tickets to Michigan’s football, hockey and basketball all in one weekend. You can catch a couple of the photos here here.
I am on the road this weekend to Florida with Blue Ridge, Franklin’s own Southern Gospel Music Quartet. We left out of Franklin on Friday night at around 10 pm. We left town after the football game where the Panthers beat a team called Hunter Huss from around the Charlotte in their first game of the playoffs.
Yep, Franklin won 13 to 7 to advance them to a show down with Asheville next week in Asheville. So congratulations to the Panthers for such a great season and the first of hopefully a few playoff wins. Read more…
